Where has this year gone? Now it’s nearly time to work out next year’s New Year resolutions. I know I never stuck to mine so they just may be the same again.
That includes the resolution I made regarding my UFO’s. I told myself I could not start a new one before finishing an old one. However with SO many wonderful quilts and projects available out there…
Having said that, there’s just enough time to whip up this nifty and super easy thread catcher, either as a gift for yourself or for a fellow sewing friend.
This versatile thread catcher is weighted at one end to keep it securely resting on your work surface. Conveniently, this weight also doubles up as a pincushion. The bag is boned so that it stays open and threads and off-cuts can easily be dropped in.
I’m looking forward to seeing the progress on these quilts. I think that this is going to be an amazing project, not only a 365 day record of external conditions, but also perhaps of some of the internal ones too. Our memories are generally so transient, so fleeting, that a project like this is a type of visual diary, helping us remember. Maybe in years to come we will look back in wonderment and see how things have changed, maybe not in ways we expected, but hopefully exciting nonetheless It’s not too late to join! there is a kit available or you may choose the option of using your own stash and purchasing the patterns and instructions only. these are available for immediate purchase and download from https://i-am-a-quilter.teachable.com/
