Blog Half way there! Posted on January 1, 1970December 9, 2019 by Jane 01 Jan A few days offLast week my husband and I had a few days off in Cape Town. What a wonderful relax, the highlight was a chauffeured ride on Harleys around Table Mountain, following the coast as far as possible. I am not normally a fan of motor bikes – but this was wonderful and highly recommended!I want one! This month’s challenge:We’re busy with circles with the pattern within the circle getting more and more complicated. For me, part of the challenge is to work out what next, and then to continue in a scrappy style. Circle #7:Half square triangles For your pattern to fit into a 10″ circle you will need to cut 16 x 3 1/3″ squares. Sew them up as half-square triangles and then trim to 3″ squares. Here is a tutorial for you to watch if you are unsure of how: https://www.google.com/search?q=sewing+half-square+triangles&oq=sewing+half-square+triangles&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.11687j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#kpvalbx=1 Circle #8: Now here is a challenge: not just an 8 pointed star, halve them! This is a drawing of the pattern to fit a 10″ circle.
